    Sorry Trevor…not the case with IPhone 4. GPS signal only turns off when the LG&E app is turned off in location services. Thanks anyway.

    Yes, it only activates when I go to my location. After closing app all the way, including not running in the background, signal remains on. Only way to deactivate is to deny access in privacy settings. Using IPhone 4.
